Poe on granular lockdown:

We appeal to local government units not to resort to the shock and awe method of enforcing granular lockdowns in communities.

Households should be given reasonable warning before their areas are sealed and secured.

Prior notice will allow them to stock up on food, medicine, water and other essentials even as aid from the local and national government are also expected.

Working members of the family should also be given time to return home and inform their offices or workplace of their expected absence so their jobs will not be put at risk.

Lockdowns can be used as means to save lives without killing livelihoods and further inflicting suffering on our people.
