Dispatch from Crame No. 1153:
Sen. Leila M. de Lima on Roque's and Topacio's double standard on the law

9/29/21

Roque says testimonial evidence is not enough to pin down those liable for the Pharmally heist of almost 10 billion pesos. He says there is a need for physical evidence. Topacio, on the other hand, says the Senate hearing on the Pharmally plunder is a kangaroo hearing.

Roque and Topacio were both instrumental in the House hearings whereat fabricated testimonial evidence of criminal convicts were presented to destroy me. And now Roque says those testimonies are, after all, not enough to substantiate accusations. And now Topacio calls such kinds of hearings as kangaroo hearings. And all because now, it is their master Duterte and his cronies who are involved in the 10 billion peso PS-DBM and Pharmally public-private partnership for plunder. Meanwhile, after 4 years of trials, Topacio and Roque, and the rest of Duterte's cohorts, are yet to prove that I got a single centavo from the alleged Bilibid drug trade.
