KASAMBAHAY BILL: Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Ejercito Estrada, chairman of the Senate Committee on Labor, Employment and Human Resources Development, listens to the positive comments of Ms. Ma. Cecilia Flores-Oebanda as the committee conducts its first hearing on “Kasambahay Bill.” The said bill, which provides additional benefits to the household workers, was already passed by the Senate last 14th Congress, however its counterpart bill on the House of Representatives was not acted upon. Ms. Flores (not facing the camera) is the Founder and President of Visayan Forum Foundation, Inc., a non-government organization working for the protection and justice of trafficked women and children, specifically domestic workers.
