Pangilinan, chairman of the Senate Agricultural Committee, went to the site to survey the damage to crops wrought by Mt. Bulusan's recent activity. The damage is currently estimated at P8 Million pesos and lahar deposit on the slopes and river channels around the volcano continue to pose a potential threat to villages and their crops.
