COMMITTEE ON ENERGY ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING: Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile asks officials of the Department of Energy (DOE) to explain the list of Malampaya Fund proceeds during the Committee on Energy organizational meeting on Senate Bill No. 2, otherwise known as the Electricity Rate Reduction Act of 2010, which Enrile authored. SBN No. 2 aims to direct the reduction of electricity rates through the utilization of the government share and the discovery, exploration, development and/or production of indigenous sources of energy for the purpose of lowering the cost of electricity.
