Probing power outages in Oriental Mindoro: Sen. Raffy Tulfo, chairperson of the Senate Committee on Energy, wants to dig deep into the decades-old problem of power outages and high electricity citing the numerous complaints that his office has received. During a press conference, Monday, August 8, 2022, Tulfo laments that despite the repeated complaints of power consumers in Oriental Mindoro, the electricity problems in the province remain unsolved. At present, the Oriental Mindoro Electric Cooperative (Ormeco) is the electric cooperative servicing the franchise area of the province. “We will also invite the governor, the congressman and other government officials.
