Zubiri receives His Excellency Luc Véron, Ambassador and Head of the EU Delegation to the Philippines, at the Philippine Senate. Both the Senate President and Ambassador Véron vowed to strengthen Philippines-EU ties by pushing for more direct engagement between the Senate and their counterparts in the European Parliament. They also looked forward to enhancing cooperation between the Philippines and the EU particularly in the areas of trade and investments, climate change, education, culture and connectivity.
