Poe backs Comelec building construction: Sen. Grace Poe proposes an increase in the 2023 budget of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) for the construction of its own building. During her interpellation Monday, November 14, 2022, on the poll body's allocation under the P5.268-trillion proposed national budget for next year, Poe urged the Senate to augment Comelec's funds by P500 million to support the building construction. "Comelec should have a proper venue to store whatever election documents they have, to be able to operate efficiently and comfortably," Poe said.
