Hontiveros listens to fingerprint expert: Sen. Risa Hontiveros listens intently to a fingerprint expert from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) as he explains how he had identified suspended Bamban Mayor Alice Guo and Chinese national Guo Hua Ping to be the same person due to their identical fingerprints. During a public hearing Wednesday, July 10, 2024, Hontiveros asked the NBI to give its official report on the Guo and Hua Ping case to remove doubts in the authenticity of the NBI findings. “During interviews, the lawyer of Mayor Alice said perhaps a third-party is needed for verification. Can you make an official report on your findings?” the lady senator asked. Hontiveros said there are still many questions that remain unanswered. “Where did she get the courage to run for Mayor? Is she working for the Chinese triad? With the Chinese government or both? Who are enabling her and these Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs)? Are there protectors within our government?
