SSFI brings cheers to more than 2,000 kids with new school bags, rice packs: The Senate Spouses Foundation, Inc. (SSFI) brought cheers to children and moms in Paniqui, Tarlac, Tuesday, July 23, 2024, with the distribution of more than 2,000 school packages and rice packs in time for the opening of classes for school year 2024-2025 next week. SSFI President Heart Evangelista-Escudero and SSFI Vice President Kathryna Yu-Pimentel led the distribution of school bags containing note books, pencils and other school supplies despite the inclement weather. They were accompanied by Grace Dela Rosa, sister of Sen. Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa, and Rep. Jaime Cojuangco in handing out the school supplies to children. Meanwhile, the parents who accompanied their children also received rice packages from the SSFI. “I would like to thank all those who helped and gave donations. We are just instruments and it is just so nice to be here and share the blessings that we got,” Escudero said. Established in 1987, the SSFI is a non-profit and voluntary initiative of the spouses of the senators that aims to uplift the lives of Filipinos through charity and goodwill.
