Addressing perennial problems of commuters: Sen. Raffy T. Tulfo addresses the commuting public perennial problems as he presides over the Committee on Public Services hearing on Tuesday, December 10, 2024. “These past weeks I have been receiving various complaints from our commuters whether they are taking our regular public utility vehicles, private vehicles, and ride-hailing services, be it cars or motorbikes. The holidays combined with the rainy season has made commuting a bigger pain than usual. Commuting is a constant pain, and it also hurts the commuters’ wallet,” Tulfo said. “We are constantly travelling and moving let’s work together to make the public transport system and services efficient and practical,” he added. Tulfo discussed the issues on motorcycles-for-hire, the rights of passengers of taxis, tourist car transport services, the regulation of transportation network vehicle services, traffic management plan in the Philippines, and the public utility motorcycles act.
