VILLAR TAKES PALENGKE TOUR TO MINDANAO; DAVAO AS FIRST STOP
Energized by high ranking in SWS survey, vows to campaign even harder

After making the rounds of public markets in parts of Metro Manila and Luzon, Senate President Manny Villar has taken his palengke tour to Mindanao today (Mar. 8) with Davao as his first stop, where he is warmly welcomed.

I intend to visit as many public markets as I can all over the country. There are many more areas to be covered in our campaign itinerary. I am overwhelmed by the warm response of the palengke people to me, says Villar, also known as Mr. Sipag at Tiyaga, who used to be a seafood vendor in Divisoria Market.

Villar is elated over the recent SWS survey where he landed on the third spot, It just goes to prove that sipag at tiyaga really makes a difference. The positive result inspires me to work even harder and more persistently. I thank those who showed their support and confidence in me.

Among the public markets visited by Villar in Davao are Kidapawan and Digos. He will also join the campaign rally of the Genuine Opposition (GO) this evening.

I am enjoying my time hobnobbing with our kababayan during the campaign period. Its really a great opportunity to interact and discuss their concerns. I am also humbled to know that my rags-to-riches story has inspired many of them, adds Villar.

Villar has so far visited the public markets of Manila, Pasay, Paraaque, Malabon, Navotas, Cavite, Batangas, Bataan, Nueva Ecija among others.
