JAMBY ON JOMA'S ARREST

We need to know the reasons why Joma Sison was placed under arrest. What were the charges brought against him? Was the Dutch court properly informed? Who made representations with the Dutch court? The arrest of Joma only raises more questions than answers. Whatever the reasons, I urge those who have custody of Joma to respect his human rights. I fear that the arrest of Joma will be used by the Arroyo administration to engage in witch hunt and persecution of human rights activists and progressive groups. Patriots should not be labelled as terrorists. ###
