Villar on RMN coverage of the Mindanao attack

We wish to congratulate the men and women of Radio Mindanao Network (RMN) for a job well done in the extensive, real-time and reliable coverage of the Mindanao conflict. RMN's special coverage, which started very early in the morning today, were the first reports heard nationwide about the escalating atrocities in Mindanao, particularly in Lanao del Norte and Lanao del Sur, brought about by the attack of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front forces. RMN reporters should be commended for their heroic deed in obtaining information and reporting accounts to inform the public despite the risks to their lives. We pray that they will continue to be out of harm's way as we remain hopeful that the clash in Mindanao will be resolved the soonest time possible.
