Statement of Senator Loren Legarda (Tiya Dely's death)

The Philippine media has lost another giant in the person of Tiya Dely whose human understanding was so deep she had touched so many lives. She was a big loss indeed.

Her death created a big vacuum in the broadcasting industry in general and in DZRH in particular, but she certainly left an indelible mark in the Philippine journalism as a whole, for she was everything - cordial, talented but unassuming, dedicated who served as a mother whose advice gave comforts to countless people.

I join the bereaved family as they mourn the death of Tiya Dely. She may be gone but she will be in our hearts forever.
