KIKO HITS MALACANANG'S SILENCE ON JOCJOC BOLANTE'S RETURN

The unusual silence and confidence of the Palace regarding Jocjoc Bolante's return should alert the public to be vigilant and on its feet for possible efforts to maneuver the truth, Senate Majority Leader and Independent senator Kiko Pangilinan today said.

"Historically, the Arroyo administration has demonstrated its capability to handle controversies by whatever means. For instance, we all know what happened in the "Hello Garci" issue, the NBN-ZTE bribery scandal, etc.

Senator Kiko, also the chairman of the Rules committee, said the Senate is ready for any legal or extra-legal remedies that Bolante and the Arroyo camp may pull from their hats.

"The Rules committee, which handles the procedure in the Senate, is generally in-charge with respect to Bolante's challenges against his arrest, testifying, detention, or even against Senate's jurisdiction per se.
