Transcript of the explanation of vote of the Majority Leader
"My vote for the continuance of the investigation will not mean that this representation favors the complaint in this case, but, instead aims to give the respondent his day to explain and refute the complaint of which its airing in public has been one-sided since the time it was exposed. Let us not deprive the public, to whom this august chamber is accountable above all, of their right to know the facts or real story behind this controversy. "Let it be stressed that this vote is not tantamount to pronouncing the guilt of the respondent. It is my objective to have a deeper knowledge and analysis of the pieces of evidenced that the complainant has so far presented in supporting her case. Testing the truth through careful examination of the pieces of evidence that is a very crucial and relevant action required to arrive at a clever and impartial vote totally independent of any party affiliation." |
