Press Release September 21, 2009 ON THE LIBERAL PARTY TICKET FOR THE 2010 ELECTIONS I respect and accept the decision of the Liberal Party (LP) in fielding its own candidates for the 2010 elections. However, uniting the opposition now appears impossible since the LP has declared it would push its own candidates without consulting, beforehand, with any of the other opposition groups. It was a decision made among, and between, members of the Liberal Party. Nobody has a monopoly of good intentions for our country. Nobody can say, we are good and all the rest are not good enough. The next government should be inclusive not exclusive. It should embrace every Filipino and exert every effort to tear down the walls of division that have kept our nation from moving forward to greater heights. |
