Being the country's next investor's hub
ANGARA SITS WITH FOREIGN INVESTORS TO PARTAKE
IN AURORA DEVELOPMENT

Senator Edgardo J. Angara yesterday met with Taiwan investors and presented a promising initiative with a province teeming with abundant natural resources enabled by a special economic zone status to boot showed what makes the province of Aurora the next investors' haven in the country.

"Aurora is a perfect place for investment. Not only for its perfect location but also for its agricultural-fisheries development because of its fertile soil, forested mountains, vast coastlines and steady rainfall. These natural resources could be better harnessed for economic uplift through ongoing infrastructure projects, which links Aurora and other provinces in Northern Luzon to the rest of the country," said Angara a proud son of Baler.

He added, "These infrastructures, coupled with tax incentives and transportation and telecommunications facilities provided under the Aurora Special Economic Zone, will establish Aurora as the gateway to the Pacific -- unlocking the resource-rich and fertile areas of Southern Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya and Aurora."

Present in the meeting were representatives of Tai Great Sun Optoelectronics Corporation which specializes in the design and manufacture of monitors for computers, television sets and automobiles and Kaohsiung Ship Building Corp. engaged in construction and maintenance of small and media-sized ship such as cargo vessel, fishing boat, tug boat, barge, ferry boat and working ship.

At present, various investments are being set up in Aurora. Because over a half of Aurora's population is already involved in agriculture and fisheries enterprises such as a Coconut Fiber Processing Plant, and a Pineapple Processing Facility are being set up, providing gainful employment to Aurorans.

More so, Aurora is also known for its vast sea coast. Here, various programs are in place to exploit Aurora's marine resources while sustaining its productivity and arresting resource depletion. These programs include a Mariculture Park and the Marine Research and Breeding Center.

"The wealth of Aurora consists of its people and natural resources - its forests, seas, mountains, coral reefs, and unique flora and fauna. Conservation of this wealth is at the center of Aurora's sustainable development," said Angara.
