KIKO PANGILINAN CALLS ON PRC, SUPREME COURT TO GIVE SPECIAL BAR EXAMS TO TYPHOON VICTIMS

Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan appeals to the Professional Regulations Commission to give special exams to Ondoy victims.

"All bar and teacher exam takers who are victims of Ondoy should be given extra time to recover from this tragedy. The final exams should be given to them on some other day."

The exams are set for Sunday, but Pangilinan fears that it may be too soon for examinees to concentrate as some may still be reeling from the typhoon's aftermath.

"They should not be forced to take the exam if they're still busy cleaning up and recovering from the tragedy. Months of preparation may go to waste as Ondoy victims aren't emotionally and mentally ready for this exam. I would advise them not to force themselves so they would be spared from possibly further disappointment."

"We ask the PRC and the Supreme Court to give our hapless kababayans special exams."
