GENERAL LIM ALLOWED TO LEAVE CRAME;
KIKO PANGILINAN THANKS COURTS

Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan expresses his appreciation to the Makati RTC in allowing detained military Brigadier General Danny Lim to attend his school's founding anniversary.

"We welcome the decision of RTC Makati Branch 150 Judge Alameda to allow the temporary liberty of General Danny Lim, our official candidate for the Liberal Party to attend the 75th founding anniversary of his alma mater, St. Louis School of Solano, Nueva Vizcaya," says Pangilinan, who is the campaign manager of the Liberal Party's Senate slate. "The three-day pass will give him the opportunity to meet his leaders and supporters in order to prepare for the campaign."

Lim was granted the ruling effective 8AM February 11 until the eve of February 13. Lim was a consistent top notcher in school, and got a high score in the entrance exam of the US Military Academy at West Point. He graduated with top honors in the Scout Ranger Course, and eventually became the regiment commander of the First Scout Ranger Regiment.

"We in the Liberal Party see this temporary release as a sign that the court sees him as neither a flight risk nor a danger to society," Pangilinan adds. "He is, after all, presumed innocent until proven otherwise. We hope to make the necessary representations with the RTC court to allow General Lim at some future date during the campaign to attend our major campaign activities, so that he may bring his platform of governance and anti-corruption, and reforms to the voters."
