NP BET ACTING LIKE MALACANANG ASSET
AQUINO DISMISSES VILLAR DARE TO OUT SUPPORTERS
AS PREMATURE, DANGEROUS

Liberal Party standard bearer Sen. Noynoy Aquino on Monday described as premature and dangerous the challenge of NP bet Manny Villar to disclose his supporters, saying that he would do so at the appropriate time as mandated by law.

"I don't know if Sen. Villar is playing the role of a Malacanang intelligence asset. But if it (disclosure) is not required by law at this time, why will I do so and make my supporters suffer?" he explained.

Under the election code, supporters should file, not later than thirty days after the day of the election, a report under oath stating the amount of each contribution, the name of the candidate, agent of the candidate or political party receiving the contribution, and the date of the contribution.

Aquino disclosed instances where his supporters have been harassed and even killed in the current political campaign.

In Cebu, he said that a supporter was attending a rally from a distance because he later on learned that "pinagiinitan ang grocery niya." Another supporter complained of being harassed by the BIR.

Aquino also reiterated that he will not accept contributions from those who intend to seek favors if he wins the presidency.

Meanwhile, Aquino laughed off NP vice presidential bet Loren Legarda's claim his ratings are now on a "continuous free fall."

"They have been trailing us for so long. And now the latest surveys show us pulling away. What else can Loren say?" he said.
