NP bets visit 'Enchanted House' on Bantayan Island
'We already feel like winners' - Loren

On Bantayan Island, a popular tourist destination in Cebu, is an "Enchanted House" that was visited by past presidential candidates who came out winners - Sergio Osmeña, Diosdado Macapagal, Ramon Magsaysay, Ferdinand Marcos, Fidel V. Ramos, Joseph Estrada, and Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

On Sunday, Nacionalista Party presidential candidate Manny Villar and running-mate Loren Legarda, along with members of the NP senatorial slate visited the house last Sunday as part of their week-long Visayan campaign covering the provinces of Capiz, Iloilo, and Cebu.

Now if you're a skeptical voter who doesn't put much stock in surveys of candidate rankings, you probably WOULD be even more doubtful of this bit of folklore that was related by the caretaker of the house.

"We already feel like winners," Legarda said. "That's because of the very warm welcome we've received in all the places we visited in the Visayas. And the welcome we got here was no less as warm and encouraging as in the other places. We really appreciate everyone who went out of their way and interrupted their Sunday activities just to greet us."

In fact, all the NP bets had their hands full - literally - returning the welcome handshakes supporters tried to outdo each other in giving.

With Villar and Legarda with senatorial candidates Gwen Pimentel, Adel Tamano, Gilbert Remulla, Ramon Mitra III, and Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
