After topping surveys anew, Aquino expects more harassment from Palace

After stretching his lead over his closest rival in the latest presidential surveys, Liberal Party standard bearer Sen. Noynoy Aquino III expects Malacañang to harass him and his allies even more.

Interviewed by reporters in Manila's Tondo district Saturday, Aquino said he expects the administration to think of "creative" ways to disrupt his campaign.

"Di naman kami tinatantanan. Ang venues, pagtanggal ng chiefs of police at provincial director, paspasan ang kaso sa kaalyado namin. Naghahanap sila ng ibang paraan siguro," he said.

For his part, Sen. Mar Roxas said they expect the administration not to give victory to them on a silver platter.

"Maaasahan natin na hindi basta-basta ibibigay ito ng administrasyon at ng pwersang nagnanais ituloy ang ligaya," Aquino's running mate said.

Meanwhile, Aquino expressed confidence he would widen his lead when he campaigns in provinces which he has not visited in the next two months.

"Marami pa tayong probinsyang di napupuntahan at yun na lang masasabi natin," Aquino said.

On the other hand, Aquino chided Sen. Manuel Villar Jr. for complaining that the NP bet was the top spender among candidates because media outfits charged his campaign high rates.

He said people are beginning to see the truth about Villar and separating the "packaging" from the real product.

"Lumalabas na nakikita ng tao talaga kung ano ang laman at ano ang packaging," he said.
