SENATOR BONG TOPS PULSE, SWS SURVEYS

SENATOR Ramon Bong Revilla, Jr. today said the February twin survey from Pulse Asia and SWS, where he consistently led the Senate race, boosted his confidence that Filipinos will give him another chance to serve them via another term in the Senate.

The February 21 to 25 surveys, Pulse Asia -using face-to-face interviews with 1,800 representatives of voters - showed that Bong Revilla got 53.6 percent which translates to a statistical ranking of first.

On the other hand, the senator would have emerged as no.1 senator if the election was held in February 24 to 28 as he got 53.6 percent in SWS survey.

"The surveys only translate that Filipinos still trust me. I want to thank them for their relentless support," he said.

Bong Revilla expressed belief that Filipinos appreciate his performance as lawmaker and public servant.

The senator has effectively fulfilled his duties in the Senate as he passed more than 500 bills for the past 13th and 14th Congress, about 103 of them were enacted into law.

"These bills centered to direct public service to people and measures that alleviate and improve the living conditions of Filipinos," he said in an interview.

He cited some of the bills, which he authored and co-authored, including Agri-Agra Reform Credit Act of 2010; Minimum Wage Tax Exemption, Bio-fuel Acts, Anti-Child Pornography Law, Expanded Senior Citizens Act and Disaster Management Council Act and 83 Public Works law.
