ROXAS TELLS PUBLIC: WE WILL NOT FAIL YOU

"We will not fail in our commitment to the Filipino people."

This was the assurance of Liberal Party (LP) President and vice-presidential race frontrunner Senator Mar Roxas II following the release of the latest results of an independent polling firm where an overwhelming majority was solidly supporting the candidacies of the LP tandem Senator Benigno S. Aquino III and Roxas.

Roxas said that the Aquino-Roxas administration "will continue the fight to pursue a clean and honest government for true progress and development of our country."

"Nagpapasalamat po ako sa ating mga kababayan sa patuloy na pagsuporta at pagtitiwala sa ating kandidatura. Nagpapatunay po ito na nakikita ng ating mga kababayan ang ating track record at isinusulong na malinis na pamumuno (I thank the Filipino people for continuing to support and trust the Aquino-Roxas tandem. This proves that the people see our track record and feel our sincerity in our fight for a clean and honest government)," Roxas said.

Aquino and Roxas have once again topped the April 23-25 survey of Pulse Asia, Inc., which bolsters the much-awaited decision of the electorate that they will be likely elected in the May 10 elections.

The survey also indicated that Aquino and Roxas are widely favored among socioeconomic classes in Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao.

The pre-election survey where Aquino maintained his lead over his closest rivals clearly shows that black propaganda such as the fake psychiatric evaluation and the issue of Hacienda Luisita will not affect his candidacy. Aquino obtained 37% voter preference in Luzon, 39% in Metro Manila, 47% in the Visayas and 36% in Mindanao.

Still, Roxas was confident that he would be proclaimed as the vice-president as he got 38% voter preference in Mindanao, 44% in the Visayas and 34% each in Luzon and Metro Manila.

Roxas said he was elated over the recent survey because it indicates that voters have trust and confidence to the LP tandem.

"We pledge to pursue our commitment to reform so that our people can enjoy the fruits of good governance: progress and prosperity for all," Roxas said.
