KIKO PANGILINAN TO OUTGOING ADMINISTRATION: STOP LECTURING THE INCOMING AQUINO ADMINISTRATION

Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan is baffled by the Arroyo administration's continuous stream of unsolicited advice to President-elect Noynoy Aquino, particularly on how to run its government.

"Why should we listen to a discredited regime tainted with scandal and corruption? They have no business lecturing the incoming administration considering how they have embroiled in countless cases of corruption and human rights violations."

Malacanang has come up with numerous statements giving advice to the incoming administration. It advises President-elect Aquino on how to handle the unprecedented budget deficits it will inherit from the Arroyo administration. Recently, Malacanang issued a statement calling President-elect Aquino to strive for unity and reconciliation following the incoming President's announcement of his decision to replace the AFP chief of staff, consistent with his previous statements when PGMA appointed General Delfin Bangit to the post amid protests from different camps.

"Tama na. Please lang, umalis na lang kayo ng maayos. Wala kayong karapatan pangaralan ang bagong administrasyon."
