PNOY'S AMNESTY PROCLAMATION A MUST FOR A POLITICALLY
STABLE SOCIETY- KIKO PANGILINAN

Senator Francis 'Kiko' Pangilinan expresses his support for President Aquino's proclamation of amnesty to political prisoners.

"The amnesty proclamation reverses the injustice done to them by committing a political act. It is meant to restore harmony and unity by way of 'forgetting' these offenses. We cannot hope to solve the serious problems of our nation if we are unable to create a politically stable society."

Pangilinan hopes that with the amnesty, the country can unite further in moving towards genuine reforms. He adds that with political stability, the economy will be strengthened as investors will come in providing more jobs to Filipinos.

"This amnesty proclamation will help create the atmosphere needed to begin anew and build the economy and ensure progress and development."
