On the Libingan ng mga Bayani burial for former President Marcos

Q Sir, pinaubaya na po ni President Noy kay Binay 'yung pagdedesisyon ng Marcos burial.

SP Mabuti 'yon dahil si Mayor Binay ang lider ng Makati City kung saan nandoon ang Libingan ng mga Bayani.

Q Sir, do you think magiging fair naman siya?

SP Siguro naman. Wala namang kaduda-duda sa fairness ni Jojo.

Q Are you hopeful, sir, na mailibing na?

SP Oo, dapat lang na we give him his due in spite of everything. Let him rest in peace out there in that cemetery where our heroes are supposed to be buried. I think one of the things we must not forget as a people is the ability to forgive. We have to forgive even those that hurt us. Life is like that. You know, it's not a bed of roses. You can get hurt any moment in your life but I think it is the mark of a real man to be able to forgive without forgetting what happened because we draw lessons from experience.

Q Sir, tingin niyo ba, kasabay ng 25th EDSA anniversary dapat isabay na ang pag-forgive kay President Marcos?

SP I am not saying that those who are hurt should forgive. It is an individual decision. Seeking forgiveness or being forgiven is an act of faith. ###
