BONG REVILLA RELAUNCHES KAP MEDICAL AID PROGRAM

In pursuit of his commitment to improve public health, Senator Ramon Bong Revilla, Jr. relaunched his Kalusugan Ating Pangalagaan (KAP) medical assistance program in Cebu Province.

The lawmaker's re-granting of medical aid to the province was certified through the Memorandum of Agreement signed by him and Dr. Gerardo Aquino, Jr., medical director of the Vicente Sotto Sr. Memorial Medical Center in the simple ceremonies held last week (August 26, Friday) at the said hospital. From his Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF), he allocated one million pesos as medical assistance fund for the needy patients in the province.

According to the senator, he sees to it that a significant portion of his PDAF will go to medical assistance, considering that financial difficulty forces most of Filipino families to ignore the importance of monitoring their health and this usually lead to aggravation of their sickness.

It could be recalled that two years ago, he also allotted one million pesos of his PDAF for the indigent patients of Cebu Province.

To avail of the medical assistance, Bong Revilla explained that indigent patients of the province can go or send a representative to the Provincial Capitol of Cebu or to the Office of the Cebu City Mayor,. The medical assistance will be given as a guarantee letter where the amount that the patient can avail under the program is indicated.

Aside from the medical assistance fund, Bong Revilla also regularly conducts medical-dental missions and blood letting activities. These are all under his KAP medical assistance program.
