Re: Subpoena for the Opening Documents already contains the initial deposit balance

SUMMARY OF MAIN POINTS:

Certain senator-judges wished to clarify the scope of the Subpoena presented to PSBank by the Impeachment Court - whether it covers initial deposits or simply ending balances for the stated years.

Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano cited the Subpoena presented to PSBank by the Impeachment Court that states that the witness shall "...bring with you the original and certified copies of the opening documents..."

He further stated that these 'Opening Documents' already contain information of the 'Initial Deposits' made by the individual who opened the said accounts.

Just a point of clarification, I have here a copy of the subpoena. May I ask the lawyer of the witness to also hand him a copy of the subpoena?

The last part of the first paragraph of the subpoena says "and to bring with you the original and certified copies of the opening documents for the following bank accounts..." Then there's a list of bank accounts. To continue, "in the name of Renato C. Corona and bank statements showing the year and balances for said accounts as of December 31 2007, 2008, 2009..."

Therefore, the opening documents were included in our subpoena. And I would think that it is normal that opening documents would include his initial deposit. So it is included, in fact, in our subpoena.
