STATEMENT OF SENATOR ALAN CAYETANO ON THE CASE OF THE VACC

I have shared the advocacies of the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) and I understand their concerns. As you know, I have always fought against corruption and my record speaks for itself.

I fought against former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, the former First Gentleman Mike Arroyo, former Chief Justice Renato Corona and even stood up our against own Senate President to make sure that resources of the senate are being appropriated correctly and for the benefit of Filipino families.

Rest assured that you can always count on me to continue the fight against corruption. I believe that corruption leads to economic hardship. Ultimately, just as I launched my PTK: Presyo, Trabaho, Kita plan today, I am fighting to improve the daily lives of all Filipino families: to lower prices, create more jobs, and increase wages.

I would also like to assure the VACC that as soon as we are back in session, I will personally attend to the Ethics cases even against the highest of my colleagues.
