Villar SIPAG holds Christmas Party for Baseco, Iruhin kids in Tagaytay

Sen. Cynthia Villar with Vista Land Chairman Manny Villar led this year's annual gift-giving of Villar SIPAG (Social Institute for Poverty Alleviation and Governance) at Crosswinds, Tagaytay.

Some 200 children aged 2 to 13 years from Baseco, Tondo and Bgy. Iruhin, Tagaytay City, and their companions were treated to fun-filled activities at the charming Christmas Village.

"This gift-giving activity is our family's way of capping another year, a way to give back what we have achieved in both our private and public endeavors," Cynthia Villar said.

She added they have chosen to make the kids of Baseco Compound their yearly beneficiaries to help the poor kids of Tondo, the birthplace of Manny Villar.

Now on its 6th year, the annual gift-giving is one of the events looked forward to by Baseco kids at Christmastime.

The children visited the Christmas Store and Santa's House at the state-of-the-art Christmas Village, adorned with over 23,000 pine trees and artificial snow. They also played with various toys built for children and adults around the area.

During the Christmas party, the children played games, watched a magician's show, danced, sang, and had fun with the Villar couple and their children.

Aside from the gifts and hearty meals, the children also got prizes for winning in parlor games and raffle draw during the brief Christmas program.

Crosswinds is a Swiss luxury sanctuary 55 kilometers away from Manila, along the mountainsides of Tagaytay. Set against the rolling hills of Tagaytay City's upscale portion, the 100-hectare Crosswinds estate evokes a vibrant, Christmas-y feel.
