Lakas stalwart Eduardo Ermita endorses Sen. Marcos for VP

Fresh from getting the endorsement of a ranking official of the Nationalist People's Coalition, vice presidential candidate Senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" R. Marcos Jr. today got another endorsement from a stalwart of another major political party, the Lakas-CMD.

Former Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita, who has been provincial chairman of LAKAS-CMD in Batangas and Regional chairman of Lakas CMD in CALABARZON since 1992, today endorsed the vice presidential bid of Senator Marcos.

"Our vice president, sa tinagal-tagal ng panahon ng kanyang panunungkulan alam niya ang pangangailanan nating mga Pilipino. May karanasan, may talino, masipag. Sa Senado isa siyang katangi-tangi na dapat pagkatiwalaan ng buong Pilipino," he said.

Senator Marcos brought his Unity Caravan to Batangas today meeting with top officials and leaders in Balayan City.

Ermita also said he is confident that Sen. Marcos will win in the coming May elections because he has kept his base in northern Luzon and is a force to reckon with in Mindanao.

"Ang base ng senador ay hindi matitibag - ang northern Luzon at ang mga kababayan natin sa ka-Mindanaoan ay sumusoporta. It's just simple arithmetic. One cake is divided by two, the other half is divided by four and the other is going for the only one coming from northern Luzon- our vice president Marcos," Ermita said,

Last Friday, Sen. Marcos was also endorsed by NPC Pangasinan Chairman Mark Cojuangco during the senator's visit to the province.

In his brief message at the 11th Barangay Health Workers District Congress at the Plaza Enrique Braganza in Alaminos City, where the senator was the guest speaker, Cojuangco said Marcos is the best candidate for the post because of his extensive experience both in his personal life and as public servant.

"Sana po ay huwag nating pabayaan na lumagpas itong ating pagkakataon na muli maipakita natin sa buong Pilipinas na meron tayong pagkakaisa dito sa Norte, meron tayong pagkakaisa dito sa Pangasinan. Suportahan po natin ang kandidatura ni Senator Bongbong Marcos for Vice President," said Cojuangco.

Since the start of the campaign season, Senator Marcos has been getting the support of several political leaders including rivals in the different provinces and cities he had visited namely Ilocos Sur, Abra, La Union, Pangasinan and Pasig City.
