POE: YOU WILL NOT REGRET CHOOSING 'GOBYERNONG MAY PUSO'

With barely three weeks left to the May 9 elections, Sen. Grace Poe assured Filipinos that they would not be wasting their vote on her and the compassionate government that she will establish to fight poverty.

Poe, who is running under the banner of "Gobyernong may Puso," reiterated her commitment to provide free college education for children from poor households and free lunch for all public daycare and elementary students.

Poe, the lone independent presidential contender, made the rounds of southern Metro Manila Monday after campaigning in Bicol last week. She remains the top choice of voters in the National Capital Region and the rest of Luzon.

The country's top-ranked senator said her competence and credibility as a public servant will help create the environment that will encourage businesses and provide employment to more Filipinos.

Under their "Gobyernong may Puso," Poe said she and her running mate, Sen. Francis Escudero, will put an end to contractualization, which affects millions of Filipino workers.

Poe said she will also ensure that no one who is still capable of working is barred from employment because of age. Even senior citizens may be given roles in barangays, if they wish.
