"I join the Muslim community in the celebration of Eid'l Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice. I pray for a solemn commemoration of this important Islamic celebration amid the ongoing conflict in Marawi, which we hope would come to an end soon so we can start healing the wounds and rebuilding lives and peaceful communities."

"I hope that all of us, not only Muslims, would reflect on the virtues that this feast signifies so that we develop deeper understanding among us Filipinos and find unity amidst diversity."
