I wish I could greet General Bato happy retirement but it seems that the President has more missions in store for this officer and a gentleman.

Whatever these are, the nation is assured that he would pursue them with the same passion, commitment, and competence he had shown in his long years of selfless service.

He brought the national crime rate down, worked for a substantial increase in policeman's pay, and presided over a massive equipment upgrade.

People who feel safer in their homes and streets owe this feeling of security to the man who rallied his men to roll back the crime wave.
