Sen. Leila M. de Lima's Statement of Sympathy on the Passing of Chair Karina Constantino-David

My tears just kept falling upon learning of Chair Karina's passing. I am deeply saddened. We lost a brave soul, a most special lady.

I convey my sincerest sympathies to Prof. Randy and the rest of the family. I pray for the eternal repose of her soul.

Chair Karina is one of the strongest women I know: a staunch advocate of women's rights, truth and social justice; a tireless defender of democracy.

Most of all, she is a caring and thoughtful friend especially during these challenging times. She will always be in my thoughts and prayers, and will continue to inspire us in fighting the good fight.

Thank you, Chair Karina, for all the love and wisdom you imparted to us, your co-warriors. We shall carry on as you now rest in the loving embrace of our Heavenly Father. I'm sure you'll keep watching over us...
