Dispatch from Crame No. 1058:
Sen. Leila M. de Lima on Chinese overfishing in PH waters

4/17/21

Duterte's back must surely be sore from the too much patting of his officials during their late night show.

But the question is: Does Duterte listen to the cry of the Filipino people who have lost their loved ones because of the pandemic? Does he pay attention to the woes of our frontliners who are overwhelmed by the continued rise in COVID-19 cases? Does he care about those who have lost their jobs, and the worsening condition of our fishermen who are still bullied and threatened by Chinese vessels in our own territory? Or will he continue to ignore these issues and sleep on it, waiting for his next ngawngaw show and photo-ops?

Recently, it was reported that as much as 240,000 kilos or 260 tons of fish are illegally taken daily by Chinese vessels in the West Philippine Sea.

#DuterteResign
