RED CROSS BAKUNA BUSES DEPLOYED TODAY IN REGION 4A, REGION 6, AND REGION 7

As the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) continues to be the active ally of the government in the National COVID-19 Vaccination Program, the humanitarian organization drives their Bakuna Buses to Region 4A, Region 6, and Region 7 aiming to vaccinate over 2,250 individuals today.

"Despite the many challenges of the ongoing pandemic, the PRC staff and volunteers continue to intensify their efforts to reach out to more Filipinos," said PRC Chairman and CEO Sen. Dick Gordon. " This is why we increased the number of our PRC Bakuna buses. We want to be able to cater to the most vulnerable, especially to communities who do not have easy access to vaccines," Gordon added.

The Bakuna buses from Victory Liner are now in the following areas in Region 4A: Isabang, Lucena City, Sta Teresita, and Taal, Batangas, Cavinti, Laguna, and Gen Trias, Cavite. Victory Liner provided eleven buses for the National COVID-19 Vaccination Program.

UBE Express provided five buses for the National COVID-19 Vaccination Program with one Bakuna Bus going to Region 7, specifically Brgy. Colon, Naga City, Cebu today.

Also, the PRC partnered with another Bus Company, Ceres Liner, to deploy four buses to cater to those from Region 6. One of the Bakuna buses is in Bacolod City today.

Outside the vaccine, the PRC shoulders all other costs under the COVID-19 Vaccination Program of the government including but not limited to syringes, mobilization, and vaccinator allowances.

To register, call the PRC hotline at 1158.
