Gatchalian on Nat'l ICT Month: Bridge the digital divide

"We cannot allow digital inequality to persist while students struggle with connectivity, businesses fall behind, and government services remain inaccessible in many parts of the Philippines. As we observe National ICT Month, we need to underscore the urgent need to elevate internet penetration across the country.

I urge the DICT to fast-track digital transformation, especially in underserved and remote communities. Universal access to reliable internet is critical not only for economic growth but also for strengthening education, disaster response, and national security.
