PIA ACCEPTS PETITION FOR "GRAPHIC HEALTH WARNING LAW.": Senate Health and Demography Committee Chairperson Sen. Pia S. Cayetano receives from a pre-schooler a petition calling on the Senate to pass a law that would require grahic health warnings on the hazards of smoking on cigarette packs. The petition was signed by over 300,000 individuals from different sectors including anti-smoking advocates, health workers, women and youth groups.
