ASEAN AND LIBERAL PRINCIPLES: Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Secretary-General Dr. Surin Pitsuwan (3rd from the right) discussed the role of the ASEAN and the new ASEAN Charter in advancing liberal and democratic values, during a dinner hosted in his honor by the Liberal Party (LP), the Council of Asian Liberal and Democrats (CALD), and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation hosted a dinner last week.
