OUTSTANDING TEACHERS: Senate President Manny Villar commends the 2008 Outstanding Teachers of the Metrobank Foundation through a Senate Resolution he filed recently. Villar recognizes the essential role of teachers in educational advancement, their important contributions in the development of humanity and modern society, and their rights as members of a highly regarded profession. The Metrobank Foundation’s outstanding teachers who were recognized by the Senate consist of four elementary teachers, four secondary, and two higher education teachers, namely Ms. Jesusa M. Antiquiera, Mrs. Lynn Z. Padillo, Mrs. Maydelyn R. Antioquia, Mrs. O Marie Theresse M. Bagas, Mrs. Rowena R. Hibanada, Mrs. Ermie E. Rabara, Mrs. Jeanette G. Dials, Mrs. Noemi O. Obcena, Dr. Irma R. Makalinao, and Dr. Virginia C. Cuevas.
