SAFE POTABLE WATER TO ALL: As part of his self-imposed mission of having a zero safe water backlog in all 41,882 barangays nationwide, Senator Bong Revilla recently inspected the controversial Metro Roxas Water District in Panitan, Capiz. Revilla is pushing for the approval of a consolidated bill in the Senate that would increase the authorized capitalization of the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) from 2.5 billion pesos to 25 billion pesos to enable it to further spread the benefits of improved potable water systems. The LWUA is a specialized lending institution mandated to promote and oversee the development of provincial waterworks systems in the country.
