Gordon underscores the need for better maritime industry standards as he demonstrates to officials of the Philippine Coast Guard, Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC), Bureau of Marine Inquiry (BMI) and MARINA the effects of disastrous practices currently carried out by domestic shipping lines and roll on and roll off vessels. The officials of the concerned government agencies attended the 3rd hearing of the Senate blue ribbon committee’s investigation on sea mishaps. The hearing will resume on Thursday.
