AGAINST UNTRUTHFUL LEADERSHIP: In a privilege speech entitled “A Truth Commission requires a truthful chair,” Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Ejercito Estrada questions the appointment of former Supreme Court Chief Justice Hilario Davide, Jr. as head of the Truth Commission which is created to investigate the various graft and corruption issues during the Arroyo administration. In his speech, Sen. Estrada enumerates why Chief Justice Davide is not the best man for the job: Davide is closely tied to President Arroyo, has been impeached by the House of Representatives, and administered the misuse of Judiciary Development Fund.
