SOWING THE SEEDS OF EXCELLENCE: Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri, co-chair of the awards search committee, presented to Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile on Tuesday, 31 August, the winners of Metrobank's Ten Outstanding Teachers of 2010. The Senate has also adopted a resolution honoring and commending the eight public school teachers and two univeristy professors for their commitment and dedication in their noble profession. The winners were selected from 156 nominees from various public and private educational institutions in the country and underwent interviews and teaching demonstrations before the members of preliminary board of judges. Twenty national finalists were then selected and faced the final board of judges co-chaired by Zubiri and Supreme Court Associate Justice Antonio Eduardo Nachura.
