FOREIGN RELATIONS: Sen. Loren Legarda, chair of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, presides over a committee hearing to discuss the consular agreement between the Republic of the Philippines and the People’s Republic of China, the first agreement to be signed by the Philippines after the Vienna Convention of Consular Relations in 1963. Also discussed during the hearing were two mutual legal assistance agreements, namely, the Mutual Legal Assistance Agreement with the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Mutual Legal Assistance Agreement with the People's Republic of China.
