HEARING ON PUBLIC ORDER: Senator Gringo Honasan, chair of the Senate Committee on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs, presides over a hearing discussing bills aimed at improving the country’s military and police forces. Discussed during the hearing were SBN 3184, repealing the height requirement for applicants to the Philippine National Police (PNP), SBN 3185, amending certain provisions in R.A. No. 9049, otherwise known as “An Act Granting Monthly Gratuity and Privileges to an Awardee of the Medal of Valor” and HBN 4659, naming the Police Regional Office 11 at Sitio Catitipan, Barangay Communal, Buhangin District, Davao City as Camp Quintin M.
